The World Rescue Challenge 2022 will take place at the national headquaters of CGDIS called CNIS (“Centre national d’incendie et de secours”). The headquaters house the different directorates of CGDIS, the fire station for the City of Luxembourg, the national emergency control room as well as the national fire and rescue school.

The challenge will take place on the technical training platform of the national fire and rescue school (INFS).

The CNIS is located at 3, Boulevard de Kockelscheuer L-1821 Luxembourg in the district of Cloche d’Or in the south of Luxembourg City.

Please be aware that, for safety reasons, only the WRC challenge site will be accessible to the public. All other areas of the CNIS will be restricted to the public.

How to get there?

The only access to the challenge site is located in the “Rue de la Francophonie” (Entrance C).

By public transport:

  • take the bus to the station “Gasperich – Francophonie” located right in front of the CNIS

By car:

  • free parking is possible at Park&Ride Luxembourg Sud-Howald and then walk (750m) to the site (route for walking: P&R Luxembourg Sud à Boulevard Raiffeisen à Rue Rosaline Franklin à Rue Albert Einstein à Rue de la Francophonie)
  • parking (with fees) is available in proximity, especially in the “Cloche d’Or Shopping Center”
  • there will be no public car parking at the CNIS!
